When someone tells you that you’re just “making an excuse.” It isn’t exactly inspiring. In fact, it’s deflating to hear that when you’ve really been struggling. It’s okay to have reasons for your struggle. It’s okay to have a reason that’s not an excuse, for why it’s been hard to be consistent. Start acknowledging what your reasons are so that you can make a plan for overcoming what you need to in order to get yourself back on track! I’ve shared just one of my reasons AND I have a whole lot more. What are some of yours?

I started this account when I was 35, had just gone through a significant weight loss transformation, and wanted to continue my journey through fitness. I used to post a picture of pretty much nothing, maybe a gym selfie, and within 10 minutes there’d be a thousand likes. This has been 15 years of consistency and guess what? Consistency isn’t that interesting. It’s not sexy. It’s not loud or attention grabbing. It’s kinda boring. In the same way some people think their life would make a great sitcom but then you realize, most of our lives are not comprised of one liners, great dialogue, and spit takes. Most of this journey has been the boring consistency that while it should be most inspiring to people as that what leads to real change, it just isn’t. Instead we’re addicted to radical quips and ideas. Sometime soon I may have the energy to keep “producing content”, not sure.
