Dawna Stafford | Spokane Acoustic Musician

Hi! I’m Dawna Stafford, a northwest singer-songwriter and cover song artist based in Spokane and Northern Idaho. I recently re-located from Portland, OR and am now living in Post Falls, ID. I have played in hundreds of venues across Portland and Vancouver, Seattle, Spokane, Coeur d’Alene and northern Idaho and have played music professionally since 2006. In 2017 I began performing as a solo artist across the northwest.

I’ve been described as a folk-rock star with acoustic arrangements and vocals that are soulful and raw. My style is an upbeat fusion of modern folk and light rock. I deliver live performances that are fun, diverse and relatable. When I’m performing music, I enjoy looking around the room to observe and think about who is there with me. I focus on what might be meaningful and fun for them to hear. Every performance is an opportunity to uniquely communicate through music and entertain those who are enjoying everything your venue has to offer.

Comprehensive & Diverse Music Set

I have compiled a diverse and comprehensive set list of cover songs that span the decades and genres. While I am a songwriter and enjoy sharing my original music, I am careful to observe when listeners are connecting to my  performance. I am able to adapt in real-time based on the style of your venue and the response from those in the room.

It takes a lot of effort and creativity to be continuously thinking beyond what’s comfortable and easy. I push myself both in my personal writing style and when arranging cover songs so that I’m not presenting one type of music. My range, variety, and flexibility allows for a perfect fit whether I’m providing a fun, upbeat, and interactive performance, or you have an event that needs more subtle and subdued background music.

Quality Sound System

I supply my own PA system. The EV Evolve 50 is a light weight, easy setup system that provides superb sound. It is a low profile design that doesn’t crowd a small space but will also provide excellent coverage in larger spaces. Whether indoors or outdoors, spaces large and small, the audience always experiences great sound.

My setup includes the following:

• Alvarez acoustic with built-in pickup
• Mic stands
• Shure SM-58 Microphones
• All cables and extension cords
• No dead air! I supply house music through my PA during live music breaks

Social Media Marketing

Working together for the success of your business is important! I am active on social media and create facebook events for each performance. This means that we can share the event, tag your business, and invite guests together. I also have a significant following on instagram which increases the visibility of performances. All content that I create can be cross-posted to your social accounts which saves you time in promoting the event and gives you some fun, fresh stuff to share!
